Attention Contractors: Valero Corpus Christi has been broken down into two separate modules (VR-1 and VR-2). Both modules must be completed same-day in order to receive credit. Failure to successfully complete VR-2 the same day as VR-1 will result in VR-1 needing to be re-taken before continuing on to VR-2. You can contact the training operations manager at 361-289-5856 with any questions you may have.

Who We Are

The Contractors' Safety Council of the Coastal Bend, Inc. (CSCCB) is a 501(c)3 non-profit training and education organization located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The CSCCB delivers safety and site-specific training and job safety orientations to contractors, as well as employees of eleven local refining and chemical plants.

Roots of the organization are firmly entrenched in the petrochemical and refining industries. With cutting edge technology, the CSCCB also responds to the challenge of other industries by applying its acquired regulatory and compliance expertise in training. This results in reductions in cost while improving the quality of required training and documentation.

The council is also a founding member of the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC). ARSC is a non-profit corporation chartered on October 7, 1997 to enhance the sharing of resources, expertise, and best practices. The results are shared cost with association members who maintain and utilize current state-of-the-art training programs for a fraction of the development cost while ensuring program integrity by reciprocal members via audits and program reviews.
